The long days of an Alaskan summer call for true celebration. When light fills the sky well past midnight, our mind, body and spirit get refreshed and infused with energy. Experience this on our annual Midnight Sun Yoga Retreat. This weeklong adventure finds a perfect balance between yoga and the great outdoors.
Spend the week practicing yoga every day, varying styles from invigorating sun salutations to restorative stretching. All levels are encourage to sign up.
We meet in Anchorage on Saturday evening, June 21st, which is SUMMER SOLSTICE! Anchorage will be our basecamp for three days. During this time, we will explore the city surroundings on a bike tour down the coast, road trip to Girdwood for amazing hiking and a ride up to the top of Mt. Alyeska. Opportunities to express your creativity through art, cooking and yoga philosophy will present itself.
Our journey transitions as we take the Alaska Railroad north to Talkeetna for the remainder of our week. This town is special; there is no doubt about it. Serving as basecamp for mountaineers climbing Mt. McKinley, this quaint town offers art, amazing cuisine, delicious local brews and a true community feel. It was the town that Northern Exposure was based on. Yoga, rafting and hiking under the tallest mountain in North America is not to be missed. The retreat will end in Anchorage on Friday, where you can continue your trip on your own or head back home. Only 13 spots available, so sign up now!
